Use Your Phone as a Wireless Trackpad for PC
Gamepad — Play Anywhere includes a dedicated touchpad mode. Switch to it and your phone screen becomes a trackpad: drag one finger to move the cursor, tap to click, drag two fingers to scroll. No physical mouse needed.
Touchpad Mode Features
The touchpad zone in the app mirrors the behavior of a laptop trackpad. One finger drag moves the PC mouse cursor relative to finger movement speed. Tap to click (left click), two-finger tap for right click, and two-finger scroll for vertical and horizontal scrolling.
Touchpad mode is accessible through the layout switcher in the Gamepad app. You can switch between controller layout and touchpad mode during a session without disconnecting.
Cursor Control
One-finger drag — speed adjustable in app settings.
Two-Finger Scroll
Natural scroll direction (like laptop trackpad) — vertical and horizontal.
Click Buttons
Left click, right click, and middle click buttons in the touchpad layout.
When Is Touchpad Mode Useful?
Games with menu systems that are designed for mouse (not controller): strategy games, city builders, MMOs, and games that do not support controllers at all. Switch to touchpad mode to navigate menus and then back to controller mode for gameplay.
Also useful for general PC control when you're on the couch: browse the web on your PC using your phone as a trackpad, control media players, or navigate file explorers — all without a physical mouse.
