Play Roblox on PC with Your Phone as a Controller
Roblox on PC supports Xbox controllers. Connect your Android or iPhone as a virtual Xbox 360 controller using Gamepad — Play Anywhere and navigate Roblox experiences with a real gamepad feel — no physical controller needed.
Roblox Controller Support on PC
Roblox on PC supports XInput controllers when connected. The virtual Xbox 360 controller from the Gamepad app is detected and the Roblox client switches to controller mode automatically. Character movement, camera, jumping, and most game actions map to controller inputs.
Individual Roblox games (experiences) may have varying levels of controller support — most popular experiences designed for cross-platform play support controllers fully, while some purely PC-focused experiences may only support keyboard/mouse for certain actions.
Character Control
Left stick to move, right stick for camera, A to jump — standard Roblox controller layout.
Menu Navigation
D-pad and buttons for Roblox menus, inventory, and in-experience UIs.
Family Friendly
Kids can use the family phone as a controller — no hardware purchase needed.
Using Multiple Phones for Roblox Multiplayer
Roblox's online multiplayer does not support local split-screen, so 4-player mode here means 4 separate Roblox accounts playing in the same online session. Each phone acts as the controller for the same PC, but Roblox only uses one controller input at a time (the primary connected player).
For local couch play where multiple people want to control different in-game actions, Roblox Studio experiences with local multiplayer (using RemoteEvents and separate ScreenGuis per player) can use the multi-controller setup effectively.
